Chairman of the Association, Engr. Niyi Abiola, speaking at the anniversary celebration, noted that retirees in Ogun State have never had it so good, even as he praised Governor Abiodun for prioritizing their welfare.

Abiola said the award was in recognition of the governor’s outstanding commitment to the welfare of retired public servants and elder statesmen in the state.

According to him, under Governor Abiodun’s leadership, retirees have benefited from prompt monthly pension payments, offsetting of arrears owed by previous administrations, and the release of N5 billion recently for the payment of gratuity, thereby reducing the backlog.
