Men of the Nigerian Police, Ogun state command, have been accused of arresting and detaining a female student of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Olanipekun Oladayo, allegedly for purchasing contraceptive and pregnancy test kits.

Olanipekun’s sister, Oluwatosin, made this known via Twitter on Friday.

“My sister a student of MAPOLY just got arrested for going to buy postpill and pregnancy strip. She’s at police post-Abeokuta. Please help me oooo this police thing don reach my side. I do not know who else to contact.

“They just collected her phone now while I was speaking with her. Her name is Olanipekun Oladayo Irenimofe.

“Please she has been locked up locked up for buying pregnancy strip ejoor ooooo,” she tweeted.

Giving an update after an hour, Oluwatosin said Oladayo was released for the sum of two thousand naira.

“Oladayo has been released y’all she paid 2k before she got released,” she tweeted
