President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday observed the Jumaat prayer alongside the visiting leaders of the Tijjaniya Muslim Brotherhood, led by Khalifa Mahiy Sheikh Ibrahim Inyass, at the State House Mosque in Abuja.

The gathering underscored the spiritual and cultural significance of the Tijjaniya movement, one of the largest Sufi brotherhoods in West Africa, known for its emphasis on peace, devotion, and communal development.

During the prayer session, President Tinubu and the visiting Islamic scholars reflected on the importance of faith, unity, and national progress, reinforcing the role of religious harmony in Nigeria’s development.

The visit by the Tijjaniya leaders is seen as part of ongoing engagements between the government and religious communities to foster peace, inclusivity, and social cohesion in the country.
